In these details we tried to find answers forgetting that the crooked lines and battered wood were as important as the fresh bed of roses that first attracted us that gave us hope to climb on the finely polished marble pedestal we dreamed about the big picture that was marred by details we could not let go of. #thinkbigger

We've been told countless of times that we should look back to see how far we've come so that we can appreciate the present moment we deserve to be in. It's a powerful affirmation, a necessary reflection and an uncompromising sense of hope to convince ourselves that things will be better. But how do you lay bare the journey you struggled on, down a rugged path hidden beneath what seems like a peaceful car ride on the surface? How do you put to words the confusion, naivety, heartbreaks and sadness that attached to the bouts of happiness you could not even feel despite the opportunity? We all carry personal narratives of our lives locked in the closets of our hearts, afraid to reveal in fear of judgement, pity, and worse, apathy. We get tired of the present problems, but look back to see what was worse in the past, only to forget that the problems of the present can sometimes be an extention of those that we thought was history. We're all a mess of emotions, as much as we'd like to deny. So let's take a step back each time we find ourselves in situations of power, to think about the story behind that soft spoken persona, that aggressive behaviour or the overthinking mind before we speak or act. We all probably already know this, maybe a timely reminder is important. Maybe. #empathy
