Poems, Thoughts

i reject society

sometimes

i wish i lived
in a cave where i could be
whatever i want to be
do whatever i want to do
and never
come back

i want to reject society

but then i realise my existence is rooted in this very
society that has begun to destroy humanity
one happy soul at a time…

where do i go then?

Reality on a thin thread

We’ve been told many times
not to fall prey to kindness
that is two-faced
but how could we stop ourselves
when we all yearn for kindness
at every nook and cranny of this world
I’m just happy at least
that our faith in humanity
is still hanging there
even if it’s on a thin thread

Faith

how does it feel like to have renewed faith
a kind that reminds us that it is only us who is in charge of our own lives
whatever fate may be we decide and let be
now I take this oath to remind myself
that I am my existence
that this humanity is my strength and You my hope
and I remind the little one down the street
that I see the star in her eye
because she did too

The Child of Freedom

You’re like that rose

Thorny but beautiful

They look at you

With eyes wide open

But child, don’t be afraid

It’s all a human game

A mind puzzle

They snatch your beauty

With just a gaze

But child, don’t be afraid

It’s your time to see the world

A world with roses

A world with thorns

But a blessing of love

Yes child, flap your wings

Soar up like a dove

Bring back the tranquility

The serenity, the peace

We long for it

Yes child, take a look

It’s a beautiful world

When we see the human race

As one family

Of love

Go child, it’s in your hands now.
