My Point

When the brain wires decide to

twist and turn

hit your eye

sending sensations

right down

to your tummy

and you run to the washroom

covering your mouth but you let it out

to complete the entire act

which started

your nerves decided

your life needed some drama

thanks for the thought

many thanks.

Telling myself over and over again

Oh please, it bites surely, when the little things you do
torment you and you ask yourself what the hell was I thinking?
but you can’t cry over spilled milk, can you?
as cliché as that sounds, listen up if you really want a piece of reality
shit happens
all the time
it’s up to you to decide to live with a clouded mind
or one that is free but controlled
are you feeling lost or disturbed?
well you’re torturing yourself
it’s a fact and don’t you dare ignore that
take care of your mind and consciousness
i’m tellin’ ya, it’s perhaps better
if you let it go

The Pursuit Of Contentment

Why do people still believe in a happy life
When there is malice in the world
How do they keep themselves satisfied
Are they selfish
Or are they selfless
Do people pray for others
Or for themselves
Is karma real
Or is it a mere tool for survival and
A necessity to do good for everyone
Will I be blessed if I don’t pray for myself
But I pray for the family
That I was born into
But I’m not content with my life
Is this how I should survive
Can I wish for my happiness over others
In my pursuit for others’ wellbeing
So that as I pray for everyone
There is a smile on my face
Enlightened by a beautiful heart
Is there a righteous being ever on earth
Who can shine an unforgiving light
On the good truth of the right way of life
It’s troubling for my heart to choose
Between us two

I need an answer
To let my heart and mind
Be one
So when I leave everyone in the world alone
I’m happy and there are too

Leave Me Alone

Did you ask me
How am I
Oh boy
Each morning no longer feels like a challenge
The heart is tired
Every day is a drag
Can you ask me a different question
How about that new assignment
No, not that
Wait what is that
We have a new worksheet
Don’t talk to me
I’m going to sleep
It’s troubling
Oh yes it is
Where has my energy disappeared to
You can tell, can’t you
Read my eyes
Tell me it’s true
I don’t even want to do this anymore
I cannot stand your voice
Any longer
Let me be with myself
